Had a fun morning filming my HMS Daedalus panoramic painting and exhibition of local places with Solent News – and it will be on TV this evening!!! Many thanks to all involved!
I love the teasles in Alverstoke Valley; their little structures poke up into the light of the sky, from the start of the Autumn and then all Winter long. Think I’ll head back there today…
Trying to get to grips with some oil paint again – as the Autumn draws in it becomes harder for water based mediums to dry outside, so it will be oil based stuff for a few months ahead for me out doors when it’s damp – This is my first which didn’t end up so thick that I can scratch into it!
I like the trees surrounding St Faiths in Lee on the Solent, and today they were especially striking, with some dramatic winter sun and shadows.
