My oil sketch from yesterday in Mudeford with @britpleinair. Still a bit shiny wet to photograph! I loved the colours in the sun…not my usual thing! also a few impressive Georgian Villas on the coast …couldn’t miss them out. Had a mixed sketchy sort of day…watercolour and ink too….with a seagull dropping a mixed media offering on my work too!

Well it’s rather grim here today…rain and wind…but if you are brave enough to venture out, it’s cosy here at my Open Studio! And the kettle is on! See you later!
The great outcrop of rocks on this amazing #surfersbeach – from the other direction … simple yet complex colours…and hazy spray afternoon light with the typical and tall eucalyptus tree shapes on the shore. Interesting to paint the sand markings of footprints and pitch lines.

#Fareham #PleinAir #britpleinair #OilPaint #GeorgianArchitecture #FarehamRedBrick #Summer #Sun #EastStreet I began the top one Thursday when the wind was surprisingly chilly – I had intended to finish it but decided to start again….I finished it at the end but the composition is not quite right. #Australia – Hello guys! I see lots of activity on my website stats from down there – I’m guessing #LandscapeArtistOfTheYear is going out there??
Well it’s the last day to visit the full Aberaeron exhibition tomorrow – Monday 30th November – and your last chance to buy raffle tickets in aid of the Hospice at Home service; which hopes to extend in the Aberaeron area in the new year.
Please form and orderly queue to buy your tickets – Lloyd Motors opens at 9am!
Thank you to all who have already bought tickets – I’m crossing my fingers for you all X
Another rainy day here – I can see the attraction of painting wet roads – great reflections. I’m liking the chimneys and the shape of this roof.
Lovely to see so many brave people out in the wet. A massive DIOLCH to this mornings customers- looking forward to more visitors this afternoon 🙂
Tabernacle Street in Aberaeron. I painted this from my van which was parked opposite the former Nyth yr Eos building. Lots of memories.

I’m looking forward to supporting Fareham Art Festival over the coming week, with my large 14 metre installation panoramic painting, from my Masters final exhibition showing views from HMS Victory’s gun ports; displayed in Ferneham Hall, Fareham. Wishing everyone a successful festival.
I have been adjusting the red on this painting, as it didn’t reflect the brightness of the barrier tape in the full sun . I’m not so sure the photo does it justice but both are here to compare.
Today I finished off yesterday’s painting, but the ship had been completely turned round in the night, and now faces Southampton.
