Speedy sketches…#Spain

Speedy sketches in pencil, oil and watercolour, here in Northern Spain! So much to see, enjoy …and if there’s time paint! Really like the rough @jacksons_art #linenboards and strong #oilpaint for sketching. Time is tight so tomorrow I’ve decided to limit my pieces to a 30 minute maximum …wait and see….must rush..important appointment with a #gandt 😉

I’m all prepared for Saturday and looking forward to making sketchbooks, and talking about keeping them, with people at Ashcroft Art Centre in Fareham.

Some places still available if you are free. This link should get you to the right part of the booking website 😀

Hello!

I’ve spent the last day (or so) rehanging my work at Ashcroft Arts Centre for my exhibition there. We are now all ready for the first visitors later this afternoon when we open – and the cake is made!

Looking forward to meeting you all later on at the PV. Or call in before 21sr October 😀

Yesterday I delivered my largest commission so far, (1 metre X 2 metres unframed) home to Wales. A massive thank you from me, to ‘a big supporter of visual artists’. Thank you.

I then started work on something new, but the Welsh weather kept me firmly undercover ☹️

Some really great colours in the mud and silage though 😀

#pumpkins #autumn On the way to Titchfield.

The weather has been so warm today – and the sun bright and casting long shadows by the time I started these. Then at the last few moments before the sun went down the field became very brightly orange. This is the last very quick watercolour impression of how they seemed to glow against the dark of the field behind.

Hello and thank you, new followers!

Amazing to have some very special recent new followers – but a little inhibiting !

Oh well here goes…. It’s been rather windy here today. Although I spent a fair amount of time  with some oil painting – I did get out to try some outdoor water colour – with the odd bulldog clip to hold the pages still!- and watched some birds as they did their stuff. Have a lovely werkend.
