WIP Currently working on simplifying shapes and marks in oil – I keep overworking…so painted the dogs (a lot) yesterday and then wiped and repainted the landscape watercolour from Sunday into oil.

When I get a wet paint brush in my hand (with watercolour or ink) my painting process kicks in automatically and the brush becomes an extension of me. I don’t think about whether I am drawing or painting – I think it’s probably somewhere in between.
When I pick up a brush with oil on the end it’s as though I’ve never painted before. So much to learn, evolve and develop in my work here – and so very motivating! ??
