Description – Two sheets of Saunders Waterford paper neatly replicate a double spread in my sketchbook, and this format is a regular aspect of my practice. This one was a studio replica of the ‘plein air’ sketches I made in the rain on the beach at White Park Bay when I visited in 2016 as part of the Final on Landscape Artist of the Year in 2016. I love Saunders Waterford paper – both for it’s smooth surface and for the fact that it is unbleached and retains a softer appearance in the artwork.
