#Aberaeron #Wales Plein air church view.
A rainy start to the day, but it has cleared up as I finish up with this one in Aberaeron today.

I think I have finally started to get the setting sun hitting the coloured houses in this one. It’s a tiny thing – I will add the rest once this has set a bit.
I keep the same colour’s in both my palettes – makes things simpler. I have Marc Dalessio’s blogging to thank – he’s has lots of sound advice about mixing greens.
Having a shift through some of my new Aberaeron pieces. Trying to find a single image to sum up what the exhibition will be like, for the invite and poster. Black and white don’t photograph well…. perhaps it will end up being a detail of a larger piece….
The boats are all safely out of the harbour for the winter months in Aberaeron, Ceredigion. I’m not a sailor in anyway, or a marine artist – I just like the shape of boats. This is a 2 page drawing, image aprox 142cm X 47cm. It’s very hard to take a ‘non grey’ photograph …
Little A6 sketchbook and iPad to give you an idea of scale, and carpet background – they are too large for working on anywhere but the floor! I’m looking forward to my Aberaeron exhibition (dates very soon) and hope to have lots of new Aberaeron pieces to show you all then.
