This is my second day with this fig tree in oil – I like the strong Autumn sun shining through the thinning leaves and it’s shapes as it sticks into the sky.

Proper fast sketching in Portsmouth yesterday. Here’s just one of them.
An old page from my MA sketchbooks for #inktober- from when I drew onboard HMS Victory. The long planks on the deck are fabulous patterns and there are great patches of light, which pour in through the gun ports.
50x150cms approx Fareham Creek (rail bridge view) Ink on paper. It must have been the first day of Winter yesterday as I worked in my overalls for the first time since the Summer!
