Well I’ve been enjoying some Welsh weather here – had to retire to the conservatory – strong winds and heavy rain all day! I used the time for under painting – the finished painting will show the house in Spring with the garden in bloom. The weather forecast is better for Wednesday – …
Well here I am making a start on something a little larger than of late. A total of 5 panels – I managed to finish the initial drawing and colour mixing on Monday whilst it was gusty but mild.
The water meadows in Titchfield are very full this year. Tried oiled board to work on today. And plastic gloves towards the end as it was getting cold 🙂

A return trip to the West Wood in the Forest of Bere near Wickham. It was dry! The whole time I was there painting. Masses of catkins are well on their way to maturity, in our out of kilter early UK spring. They are a bit too small to see in the photo.
