Some recent quick #Athens #Greece #pleinair work of the #Acropolis #Parthenon #TempleOfZeus #watercolour #sketchbook #AncientAgoraOfAthens made during our lovely holiday to an amazing place. It was really challenging to work in such hot dry conditions in watercolour and difficult to do justice to the fabulous setting and its history. The colours from the sun were really complex to represent especially on the marble rock formations, and the vegetation too took a while to colour match.
