Passport @inktober #inktober Day seven …a look a

Passport @inktober #inktober Day seven …a look at old (very old) artwork from my A level days…my artwork from my first trip to Venice with school. The first time I needed a passport.
Then a look at pen and wash artworks that I used to do prior to my MA …and a good warm up drawing activity…a single continuous line drawing.

Two images - but not as they might appear initially.
Using the edit function to remove all the colour and then replacing the colour in the same way….shows up the similarity in the tone of both.
I love tone …and colour too. I think the relationship between to tonal contrast and what I find as a successful watercolour are linked.

Thank you @catherine_martin_makes for this lovely Aloe Vera 🖤…which I have stuffed into this old olive tin and hope will pass as ‘exotic’.
True to form …although I thought the Aloe Vera would be what interested me…I especially enjoyed the tin and illustrations 😂👍

This prompt made me think about all the things in my home which I could class as ‘exotic’…having been brought up in a home where pasta only made an appearance in my late teens…garlic didn’t exist…and there was never wine…I think I must now live an exotic lifestyle every day! 😂

…I’m glossing over the fact that much of the food I ate was home grown or home made including meat and bread….so it wasn’t all that bad. Just not ‘exotic’.
