Temporary house - temporary sunshade!
It was hotter than I imagined it would be here yesterday but I couldn’t resist these white roses. Small scale sketches as I can’t even remember the last time I had chance to get out oils.

My 10 weeks @artacademylondon teaching Ink and Watercolour is almost over 😞 ANOTHER set of great students🖤….and this time ….for the first time ….it’s been via Zoom.

I’m off to @westdeancollege to teach in real life tomorrow. 🎨

Today was all about perspective. Getting the roof structures and perspective to read properly and having a clear fresh head to focus on that. Brushes of appropriate size are a key aspect to this sort of work and also confidence. Ink is very unforgiving and cannot be corrected (unlike watercolour) but even if it all goes wrong...it’s only a piece of paper after all! I used flats, filberts, a rigger and dipping pen and pencil.
Paper was Saunders Waterford. Blotting paper by RK Burt. Ink by Royal Talens today. 👍
