Today’s wildlife bonus? Thousands of tiny grasshoppers….hard to film but a few landed on my board.

Commission news 🎨 -
I have had lots of fun with commissions of all sorts and sizes in the last couple of months.
I am now planning my Autumn diary.
If you are imagining a commission then please plan ahead. Dare I add the word …🤔maybe not …😬just an emoji 🎄🎁
Anyway - commissions take time to organise so now is the time to act 👍

Here are two all framed up and waiting to head off to their new home soon. They were commission after I showed at @freshartfair in #cheltenham. The commissioners liked my work but had a different location in mind.

A #timelapse - which I haven’t done for ages!

This shows Jane Austen’s home at Chawton, in the winter with the snowdrops under the Yew.

I remember these two so well. It was very cold and as I rarely use masking fluid (which was 100% necessary for the snowdrops) it needed to dry. Difficult in the damp and cold so I did, as I often do - two at a time. So that I can put one down to dry and avoid overworking it in its wet state.

It’s also a good example of my forging my own work on a commission where the original is stuck in a sketchbook!
