I always enjoy #tbt so here goes…last year I spent some time painting on the Isle of Skye. I wanted very much to work near the Old Man of Storr and walked up twice to try to do so; the first day I was driven off by awful hail (and 100% soaked) and the next day despite having set off in sun I was suddenly enveloped in snow. I did manage a plein air grubby glove sketch with pencil on paper but it was safer to get down off the hill.
