There were some great paintings with red as a key colour in the Singer Sargent exhibition. I was also very taken with the basket work chair, that Robert Lewis Stephenson was painted sitting in. Sargent had really worked to capture the shine and colour with many layers of paint. I need a more yellow element in mine, I think to make it more like the one I was looking at.
