Hello to you in 2022!
Best wishes for the New Year.

🎨 It’s back to work and the painting paint brushes now - not the DIY ones for me this week. It was great to step back from posting too for a while. I love Instagram for inspiration from all the great artists out there, and for myself I see it as another form of visual diary. A way of recording what I’ve been up to. Still it was good to have a break and give myself time to focus on sorting more of the house out, painting the odd wall, emptying the remaining boxes and spending some family time.

🌳Here’s a fabulously old chestnut tree in today’s sun. It was a bit 🥶
Anyone fancy trying this sort of painting? Get in touch as I have a group set to start next week. 👍

Also a few other indoor lessons in various places…I will do a proper post tomorrow.

These trees have been occupying my thoughts last week both in watercolour colour studies, sketches and oil. More things to think about here….but time to sign off for a week or so and focus on a bit of DIY 🪣🪜🏠 and family prep 🎁before Christmas.
