Thursday 16thFebruary The weather has been unhelpful for water based stuff (i.e. not suitable/possible for drying things like washes in ink or watercolour either outside or in unheated outbuildings) so the weather forecast of dry – with possible afternoon sun today, is a real bonus. I have only a few sessions left to work here

So I bought some marked down peonies in #Tesco – they were a very bright lipstick pink. Thought they might go brown and die. Amazingly they have lasted ages and opened out into the handspan stunning blooms, slowly fading from pink to cream. They have fabulous middles. I am sketching first – might go into
